Pushing Through the Pain or Creating Pain

Long lasting injuryYou're working out. You have a little pain in your shoulder. Eh, It'll feel better in the next few days. You keep working out, but it's not getting better. BIG MISTAKE!! I did something similar to this. Except for me it had to do with TaeKwonDo. My back hurt during sparring, but I kept going. On top of TaeKwonDo I was also playing Ultimate. (the best sport ever created) I really messed up my back not taking a break. I tried a few times, but I could only stay away for a week, sometimes two. I kept jumping back into it too quickly and injuring myself over and over again. I'm still having problems with my back.

Don't get caught up in your sports, or other activities, so much that you let a little pain turn into a big problem. Listen to your body, if a week break isn't enough. Take a longer one!! You can really injure yourself long term by continuing to play and be active. If you must stay active, then try to figure out a different activity that doesn't stress the same injury.

Dont be a copycat. Don't make the same mistakes as me!!!
