Finding Motivation
Finding motivation, specifically gaining enough motivation to workout. This can be tricky. You
might find enough motivation at one point, to work out for a few days, or even a few weeks, but then it gets old and you just stop.
I've made a lot of mistakes and learned a lot about gaining motivation to workout. Whether it was motivation to lift weights, or train when I was racing bicycles.

Setting a Goal
The biggest thing you can do to find and gain motivation, is setting a goal. With a goal in place, you have something to get excited for. Something that you can strive for.
There is a difference between a dream and a goal. The difference is simple. A dream is just that, a dream. A goal is an attainable dream with steps to attain it, and a deadline. A dream would be to have a good looking body. A goal would be to have a good looking body (dream) by the first day of summer (deadline). Planning to do a specific plan 3 days a week until then (plan).
To stay motivated over this time, focus on your goal. Take your measurements before you begin your workouts, keep track of the progress you're making. Be proud of what it is you're accomplishing, and what you are going to accomplish. You can do this.
If you ever do hit a slump, don't think that all is lost. Once you start again it's easy to gain momentum again. The hard part his taking that step towards that first workout ... again.
not your mistakes anymore, learn from other's mistakes.
